If you were starting a non-medical home care business, we would say it depends, but probably not. However, as a home health care business it is a must in nearly all cases, with only some exceptions. You must achieve accreditation for long-term success unless you are taking part in a very specific State Waiver, or Federal Program that does not require Accreditation.
